The Benchmade Saddle Mountain Skinner Hook is a slim, all-round hunting knife. It will cut through meat like a laser. The large 'belly' of the edge also makes this a great knife when gutting game. With your index finger on the jimping on the spine of the blade, you have a lot of control over the knife as you use it.
Benchmade selected CPM S30V steel for the blade. It retains its sharpness well, and is also easy to sharpen. Stainless as well, which is great if you don't have cloth and oil close. You notice that this knife was made to be used. The spine of the blade has been enhanced with a 'gut hook'. Well-known amongst hunters, but also great to cut through ropes and lines.
The handle is made from Rosewood Dymond wood. A composite of layers of wood, impregnated with synthetic resin. Incredibly strong, with a stylish look and feel. Also not unimportant: it offers you enough grip.
